Good to Know

Do parents need to stay for Open Lab?

Yep! This is a parent-kid experience. You'll explore together, make discoveries together, and probably get a little messy together. It's bonding time with beakers.

What should we wear?

Clothes that can handle a splash or two. We provide lab coats, but science isn't always tidy.

Can we just show up?

Walk-ins are welcome during Open Lab hours! That said, weekends get busy, so we recommend booking ahead if you've got your heart set on a specific time.

What about waivers?

One waiver per family, good for a full year. You can sign it online before your visit to save time at check-in.

Who's behind this?

Reaction Lab is run by a PhD neuroscientist and mom who believes kids learn best when they're hands-on, curious, and having fun. Our staff is trained, enthusiastic, and ready to geek out about science with your kids.

Is it safe?

Yes! Everything is kid-safe. We use sturdy plastic beakers, flasks, and test tubes. It feels like a real lab because it is one. That said, kids do need to follow the rules and listen to instructions.
