Refund Policy

1. Open Lab Sessions
At Reaction Lab, we strive to provide engaging and educational experiences for all participants. For our Open Lab sessions, the following refund policy applies:
- Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled session.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session may be rescheduled but are not eligible for refunds.
- No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
- If no supervising adult is present at check-in, the reservation will be treated as a no-show.
2. Guided Lab Sessions
Our Guided Lab sessions have limited capacity and require advance preparation. The following refund policy applies:
- Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled session.
- Cancellations made 24-48 hours before a scheduled session are eligible for a 50% refund or can be rescheduled for a $10 administrative re-booking fee (per participant).
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled session are not eligible for refunds but may be rescheduled at our discretion.
3. Birthday Parties
Birthday party bookings require significant preparation and reserved facility time. The following refund policy applies:
- The $150 deposit required at booking is non-refundable.
- Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to the party date are eligible for a full refund of any additional payments made beyond the deposit.
- Cancellations made 7-13 days prior to the party date are eligible for a 50% refund of additional payments beyond the deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the party date are not eligible for refunds.
- One-time rescheduling is available with at least 14 days' notice, subject to availability.
4. Private Events
For private events and group bookings, the following refund policy applies:
- A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking and is non-refundable.
- Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to the event date are eligible for a full refund of any additional payments made beyond the deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event date are not eligible for refunds.
- Rescheduling is available with at least 14 days' notice, subject to availability.
5. Special Circumstances
We understand that unexpected situations may arise. In case of illness, emergency, or other special circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will work with you to find a reasonable solution, which may include rescheduling or providing credit for future sessions.
If Reaction Lab must cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances (such as inclement weather, staff illness, or facility issues), we will offer you the option of rescheduling or receiving a full refund. If Reaction Lab must cancel, all monies paid—including non-refundable deposits—will be returned.
6. Processing of Refunds
All approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 5 business days; your bank may take additional time to post the refund to your account. All prices are shown and processed in U.S. dollars.
7. Cardholder Dispute Resolution
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us at info@reactionlab.fun or (732) 856-8163 within 30 days of the transaction. We will investigate in good faith and, when warranted, issue a credit to the original form of payment within five (5) business days. Submitting a chargeback without first contacting Reaction Lab may delay resolution.
