A Summer of Real Science
Our Summer Science Camp is a fully hands-on, high-energy experience for curious kids who love to build, experiment, and solve real problems. Choose between two unique five-day adventures — book one week or pile on the science and stack a few!

Two themes, each running twice. Same theme repeats — pick whichever week works for your family.
Theme One
Summer Medley
July 6–10 or August 3–7
A mix of classic Reaction Lab favorites — chemistry, geology, ecology, and forensics. Each day is a stand-alone adventure.

Daily Schedule
Monday • July 6 or August 3
Mad Science!
Are you ready to become a mad scientist and mix substances that fizz, bubble, pop, and even explode? A day of chemistry fun — where reactions come to life and excitement takes over.
- • Identify mystery liquids using pH testing
- • Mix non-Newtonian fluids
- • Explore density by creating a sun catcher
- • Observe reactions that fizz, bubble, and pop
Tuesday • July 7 or August 4
Our Earth Rocks!
Have fun with hands-on activities to learn about the fascinating science that makes up the ground we walk on every day!
- • Geology Dig — Excavate and ID!
- • Explore crystals!
- • Rock Density Lab — Does it Sink or Float?
- • Earthquake simulation! When will the Graham cracker break?
Wednesday • July 8 or August 5
Monumental Problem!
Do you have what it takes to preserve a national monument? Get down and dirty with the elements and show these rocks who's boss!
- • Transform a "rock" from sediments to magma and back again!
- • Weathering Simulations — acid rain, wind and oxidation!
- • Freeze and thaw "rock" and watch what happens!
- • Engineer a way to preserve a famous monument made from rock!
- • Test your design! How does it hold up to the elements?
Thursday • July 9 or August 6
Dirty Jobs!
We've got our favorite axolotl's back — but we need your help! Find out how amphibians breathe through their skin and need clean water to do it.
- • Water Pollution Simulation — Where does it come from and where does it go?
- • Engineer a way to clean polluted water!
- • Test your design! Can you make it clean enough for your "pet"?
- • Watch your "pet" frog or salamander hatch, grow and thrive!
- • Proudly take home your "pet" in the clean water you make!
Friday • July 10 or August 7
Forensic Fun!
Can you solve the mystery? Which suspect matches the things found at the scene of the crime?
- • Collect evidence from scene
- • Mystery Powder — what is it?
- • Fingerprint ID
- • Match the tool marks to the tool
- • Analyze fiber samples with microscopes!
- • Ransom note pen test using chromatography
- • Review suspect descriptions
Theme Two
Bugs to Brains
July 13–17 or August 10–14
A brand-new five-day lineup. Senses, insects, the periodic table, molecules, and Newtonian motion — serious science with a healthy dose of slime.

Daily Schedule
Monday • July 13 or August 10
Sense-ible Science!
How do your senses really work — and what happens when you trick them? A full day of experiments around sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch.
Tuesday • July 14 or August 11
Buggin' Out!
Bugs, ants, and arthropods galore. Become an entomologist for the day with hands-on critter investigations and an up-close look at the tiny creatures who run our ecosystem.
Wednesday • July 15 or August 12
In Our Element!
Meet the periodic table the fun way. Hands-on activities to bring elements, mixtures, and reactions to life.
Thursday • July 16 or August 13
Molecular Madness!
Build, bond, and break molecules — literally. Polymers, slime, and the chemistry behind the everyday stuff in your house.
Friday • July 17 or August 14
Newton's Playground!
Physics in motion — ramps, projectiles, marble runs, and the laws that make it all work. Engineer, test, and play.
